Without read-only the one in C:\Users\-username-\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033 gets changed by the game to what the game's resolution is at. Tried with every single user.cfg (they all now say the same thing). So basically, I can't change the game resolution to 1920 x 1080 on fullscreen. Something to note, the ingame settings still show 1680 x 1050 despite the windowed one being in 1920 x 1080. Doesn't look like theres a borderless option. However that means I get the taskbar appearing at the bottom along with the desktop if I change the resolution.
I have found one fix for this so far, if I change fullscreen to off in user.cfg so its windowed, this works. I made sure to double check that the user.cfg files were read-only.
However whenever I launch the game it still doesnt go to this resolution (I have confirmed using some recording software). I have gone in the user and changed the resolution so it looks like the below. I tried googling around and found some things to try such as editing the user.cfg, I understand there are multiple ones. Ingame the max the resolution will go to is 1680 x 1050. However I've started having an issue with the resolution not going to my native resolution of 1920 x 1080.
